How to Use Articles to Get Traffic to Your Site

By

The ultimate goal for any webmaster is to attract as many internet visitors to their website. Just think of it has a huge mall with millions of stores in it. You would have all those stores competing to get the attention of the people walking around just looking at the windows of a few stores, but very few actually go inside any of those stores. It works the exact same way with the internet. The more attractive your initial display is, the more chances of having people go into your website.

Think of articles as scout agents that are assigned to go out there and attract customers into your website. You create these articles with as much quality of content as you can, so that they can be picked up by web crawlers and shown in search results. The more quality articles you have out there, the more chances one of them will be on display when someone types the search phrases that relate to your content.

Let's say someone goes on the internet looking for a new Smartphone they want to buy. They will most likely go to Google or their favorite search engine and type the name and model of the phone they want. This means that if your website is about Smartphone's or general technology, you will show up on the search results if you have created quality content with those keywords in it.

This is why it's so important to create good quality SEO articles for your website and make sure they have all the keywords that might drive people to your website. Quality and quantity are just as important in this case. The more content you have out there... Read More

3 Ways To Get Articles Without Writing Them

There are many ways to produce articles without writing them yourself. You can use a ghostwriter, private label rights articles that you buy, articles you put together from expert interviews and more. Following are three ways to get articles without writing them yourself.
  • Use a Ghost Writer
  • A ghost writer is someone who writes books, articles, stories, reports, or other texts that are officially credited to another person. Some ghost writers are hired to edit and clean up a rough draft, others are hired to do most of the writing based on an outline provided by the credited author.
  • Many active ghost writers have resumes and portfolios online on sites like Freelance Portfolios. Sites like this have a wide range of portfolios available that allow the client to make a choice of skill and experience level. You can also try posting an ad on Craigslist with your requirements and an overview of the project. If you want more ghost writers to choose from, try posting a project on Elance or RentACoder and allowing people to bid on your project. Contract and payment details will be explained on the site.
  • Private label Rights
  • Private label rights (PLR) articles are articles written by someone who then sells that content to others to use on their websites. Once you’ve purchased a PLR article, you have the right to use that article on your website without any worries of committing plagiarism or copyright infringement. Furthermore, the person using the article technically owns that material, and can make changes within the article, add material to the content, delete information from the content, include introductory or conclusive commentaries, and still publish the changed article without any legal repercussions. The operative words here are ‘make changes.’ You must make the article your own by editing the information.
  • When authors write PLR articles, they may sell the article as many times as they want and to whomever they want. So, when you use a PLR article on your website, it is very likely that duplicate copies of the exact same article are posted on many other websites on the Internet. If your website visitors realize that the content you’ve posted is copied from other sources, you may lose credibility and visitors. The risk of loss of credibility and a damaged reputation leading to a lower number of website visitors is a realistic disadvantage when you use PLR articles.
  • Expert Interviews
  • Experts are the starting point of a great article-whether written for a newspaper, an Internet website or a magazine. Experts validate your claims, explain intricate technical jargon and add life to your articles. Most experts are perfectly willing to give you a few quotes for your article because not only does it increase the chances that your information is correct, but it also offers them publicity. So, choose the subject matter and search out a ghost writer, some PLR articles or find an expert to interview or do all three and get started with your articles. And, then click here for a traffic source.

    by Allan Ryckman

If you want to grow your business through superb advertising, you will likely need to use excellent copywriting to do so. It can be incredibly challenging to brand a company's products and services. By utilizing the services of a skilled copywriter though, you can increase the amount of revenue every advertisement you create will generate.

The process of creating advertisements on your own may lead to the creation of ads that do not work. Advertisements that are not memorable are unlikely to attract new customers to a business and its product offerings. By creating advertisements that are designed to be as memorable as possible, you can be certain the messages contained in the ads you create will catch the attention of consumers.

The average consumer comes across hundreds if not thousands of advertisements on a daily basis. For this reason, the average consumer may not be able to remember even half of the advertisements they see. By making the ads you create as memorable as possible, you can increase brand awareness and also increase the likelihood customers will purchase your product offerings.

In order to create memorable advertisements, skilled marketers must rely upon their years of experience in the marketing industry. Through their years of experience, the best marketers in the business have become familiar with the types of ideas that stick and the types of ideas that are easily overlooked. For this reason, a skilled marketer can be used to create memorable advertisements consumers will be able to easily identify with.

To create memorable ads, companies must use the services of a marketer who is remarkably creative. An experienced copywriter can provide you with a creative mind and they can customize their writings and ideas for advertisements to meet your unique needs. Plus, the extensive experience of a copywriter can provide you with guidance to help you make professional quality advertising campaigns.

A good copywriter will not only provide you with excellent creative ideas to help move your campaigns forward, but they will also provide you with the literary skills needed to catch the attention of your customers. Excellent writing is the key to good copywriting. Once you are working with an experienced and knowledgeable copywriter, you will have access to the literary skills you need to create advertisements that will stick in the minds of consumers.

If you are planning on generating a professional quality advertising campaign, you will likely come across many challenges along the way. A professional copywriter can make it easier for you to overcome these challenges. To help you overcome these challenges, a copywriter can engage in brainstorming sessions with you to ensure your next ad campaign will represent your brand in a highly professional and memorable manner.

Getting New Visitors to Read Your Post

You worked hard on creating content and promoting your site simply to get people to read your post but yet they bounce … and quickly! The fact is to have a successful blog your readers need to fall in love with what you offer so that they will return! Of course this won't happen if people who land on your site lose focus and leave before reading a thing! If this is happening to you than fear not since in most cases it is in your power to correct the problem! When your readers leave your platform as quickly as they landed on it this generally indicates a distraction of some sort!

Here are 5 potential 'distractions' you may unwittingly create as a blogger that keep you from developing reader loyalty and thus a successful blog!

    Needless Widgets

Wordpress blogs have at their disposal a seemingly endless amount of widgets from which they can use and many bloggers take full advantage! It is important to remember widgets are there to help you more easily build and maintain a successful blog but if you use too many this can be a distraction to your readers! I have yet to see or hear of any visitors that search for and land on blogs just to check out the widgets being used!

    Circus Like Graphics

Although your blog is a great way to express yourself and your individualism, it's best to do so through the content you write! The excessive use of graphics may add a visual spark to your site however too many can easily cause visitors to lose focus on the content they came to view thus leaving your site prematurely! Since a loyal readership is needed to have a successful blog it seems using graphics to the extreme may only serve to sabotage your blogging efforts!

    Ads

The use of ads should follow the same guidelines as how you place graphics on your platform, with prudence and sparingly! Keep in mind your readers show up to 'read' and not 'buy' so avoid exposing them to too many ads or they will feel used, betrayed and once again will lose focus on why they even landed on your site! When this occurs it is hard to get these people to ever return so tread carefully when placing ads!

    Images

Using images can help you break up text and give your readers a place to rest their eyes which is what you want! On the other hand too many images can lead to additional clutter so keeping a 'balance' is the key! You want the images you use in your content to 'compliment' or help convey your intended message but NOT to dominate your text! Once again too many images or even using oversized pictures can cause visitors to lose focus and leave before they read what you wrote!

    Font Size

Sorry but size does matter in terms of the font you use! The smaller the font, the more you can fit on a page and therefore the more 'overwhelming' this may be to visitors! Additionally your readers do not need to strain their eyes just to read your content simply because this 'challenge' can and will cause them to leave! Be sure you are using a 'comfortable' font size and consider a size 12 the minimum you should use although 14 is probably better yet!

If you want people to read your post than don't challenge them with too many distractions on your blog since they'll simply lose focus and leave! The point of the above discussion is to be more conscious of what you present to your readers when they land on your site! You want people to read what you wrote but by 'accessorizing' your site with too many graphics, widgets or ads, this may not happen! The takeaway here is that to have a truly successful blog, your readers must first view the content and in doing so, enjoy it as well! When this occurs, they will elect to return and even refer your site to others, but with too many distractions, it doesn't matter how good your content is, people lose focus and simply leave!

    Getting Paid To Podcast

To create a podcast, you will need a microphone and some recording software. If you have a camera, you can also produce video podcasts.

You can download a free recording program from audacity.sourceforge.net, where you will also find tutorials on the technical side of podcasting.

When you have the content and are able to produce good quality podcasts, you need listeners. You can find them by submitting your podcast to directories such as podcastalley.com, promoting it through a website or blog, or advertising in forums and newsletters.

The bigger your market, the better. Don't be afraid of competitive markets, they're big for a reason--they pay and people are listening!

You will then be able to make money by finding a sponsor who is willing to pay to reach your listeners. You could find your own advertisers, or join a podcasting network such as podtrac.com.

If your content is desirable enough, you can charge for access to it, thus getting paid to podcast, through services such as iTunes (apple.com/itunes). If you are selling your podcast, however, it is a good idea to create a free content version too in order to reach new listeners.

    Thinking about money

    From Seth's Blog

Many marketers work overtime to confuse us about money. They take advantage of our misunderstanding of the time value of money, of our aversion to reading the fine print, of our childish need for instant gratification and most of all, our conflicted emotional connection to money.

Confusing customers about money can be quite profitable if that's the sort of work you're willing to do.

A few things to keep in mind:

    1. The amount of money you have has nothing to do with whether or not you're a good person. Being good with money is a little like being good with cards. People who are good at playing cards aren't better or worse than anyone else, they're just better at playing crazy eights.
    2. Money spent on one thing is still the same as money spent on something else. A $500 needless fee on a million-dollar mortgage closing is just as much money as a $500 tip at McDonalds.
    3. If you borrow money to make money, you've done something magical. On the other hand, if you go into debt to pay your bills or buy something you want but don't need, you've done something stupid. Stupid and short-sighted and ultimately life-changing for the worse.
    4. To go along with #3: getting out of debt as fast as you possibly can is the smartest thing you can do with your money. If you need proof to confirm this, ask anyone with money to show you the math. Hint: credit card companies...

A few Tips For Affiliate Marketing Beginners

Affiliate marketing is usually the starting point for home business entrepreneurs and beginners in Internet Marketing because of the small amount of work involved. However, there are some things that you must absolutely look for before promoting an affiliate product.

    Promote A Unique Product

For the best results promote a unique product. Promoting a product that is already being sold by hundreds is not in your best interest. A unique program may be a bit hard to find because, in the short run, that wouldn’t be in the merchant’s best interest.

Use Powerful and Effective Affiliate Tools

As a new affiliate marketer you might be at a loss as to what to do. When you’re ready to start promoting, be sure you have a clear understanding of the tools available to you. Most affiliate marketing beginners usually go for months before making their first sale, because the merchant may not be very helpful. So make sure that the program you choose has a clearly explained resource section. This will improve your chances for success. Following are some of the tools to check for.

    Affiliate Resources:

Brandable ebooks to give away or sell with your own affiliate ID links to generate leads... and sales

    Sales letters provided

Templates of the emails to send to your list(s), or pre-written emails

Free promotional tips so you can make money without spending a lot

Advice and tips for paid promotional techniques, in case you choose to use such, so that you don’t lose more money than you make

Redirect links through your own website. For example: www.yoursite.com/theaffiliatesite/

    Banners

    Good Tracking Software

You must be able to monitor almost everything in your resources section:

You need to be able to track your sales, the visitors to your site and to the merchant’s site, by which page they enter to the merchant site (thus the importance of redirect links)

You must be able to view your payment history, and also how many people signed up under you if it is a two-tier affiliate program.

    Cookies and IP Addresses

It is a common practice for Internet users to clear their cookies daily or weekly. So if you spend money on PPC or any other paid advertising to get a customer, you don’t want to see another affiliate get your commission. So try to choose an affiliate program that has tracking software which tracks the IP address of your future customer. Do choose a program that has recurring commissions so that you can get paid over and over.

Look for affiliate programs with a generous compensation plan, and give a preference to the two-tier programs as you’ll be paid on two levels. Lastly, be sure the program has a support system so you’ll be able to communicate with the merchant.

5 Things You Should Avoid When It Comes to Making Money Online

       by Quentin Baker

With more and more savvy entrepreneurs looking to try their hand at online business each day, the number of red flags to keep clear of is also practically on the rise. If you're looking to grow your web-based venture the right way, I have the right tips to help you do just that. Make sure you give the rest of this article a thorough read through to get started right away.

Stay away from offers that are too good to be true.

Coming across promotional offers that promise to multiply your investment exponentially in just a matter of days or weeks is not uncommon as soon as you fire up your browser these days. If you think that a certain offer sounds too good to be true, make it a point to stay away from it. Akin to traditional businesses, an online venture needs a lot of patience, know-how and determination to make it as successful as possible.

    Dubious information equals online scam.

Let's say a certain "online business guru" or company contacts you for a partnership deal and you notice that their address and other important details are somewhat questionable. No matter how tempting their offer may be or how promising the returns of their proposal is, stay away from them if the pieces of information like email addresses and telephone numbers they are providing aren't lining up.

Chain letters should not be taken seriously.

Have you ever tried checking your inbox one day and discovering a lot of "good luck messages" that only work if they get forwarded? Well, if you find similar emails that promise huge amounts of money will be sent to you if you just send a certain amount of dollars to the sender, it is absolutely a scam nonetheless. Mark the message as spam immediately and report the sender as soon as you can.

    Repeating IP addresses mean trouble.

Blacklisted websites often use recurrent IP addresses to lure as much people to sign up for their fraudulent schemes and business offers. If you're looking to make money online, always check the background of the website or blog where you found the promising business idea. Just remember to forget the whole deal when you discover that it uses identical IP addresses.

    There is no secret formula.

In the world of online business, there's no secret formula or magic bullet that will boost your venture to the top of your niche in a matter of days. However, you can find reliable online business mentors if you just know where to look. Akin to its traditional counterparts, a web-based venture is all about knowing and applying the right things. Top it off with a lot of determination, persistence and a positive mindset, you're definitely on your way to success if you play your cards right.

Why New Marketers Should Love Unsubscribers

If you are like most new marketers you just dread logging into your autoresponder and seeing that you have lost list members due to them unsubscribing. There are some good reasons to look forward to getting unsubscribes.

The only way you’ll never have unsubscribes is to never send an email. If you are not going to use the list why go through the effort of building one.

To unsubscribe a person has to at least open the email and click the unsubscribe link. That means your headline worked. But if you’re using dishonest headlines such as you have money waiting, your account status, or other such headlines people will unsubscribe. If you are using a headline that matches your email and it gets opened, then that headline has worked for you.

Another reason people unsubscribe has to do with personality. Not everyone is going to like you or your writing style. If they don't like your style you’ll never be able to build a relationship with them. You need a relationship in order to sell to them. So each unsubscribe will make your list more targeted to people who actually like your style and are more likely to respond positively to your offers that meet their needs.

So there’s no need to dread seeing people unsubscribe from your list. Just remember that you’re actually making your list stronger and more profitable for you in the long run, because you’ll be building a relationship with members who will respect you.

    Using Commas Correctly

There are two parts to today's tip: using commas to separate items in a list and using commas to separate adjectives of equal rank.

    1. List Items

First, when listing a series of adjectives or nouns, use commas to separate individual elements. For example, in the sentence:

"In college, I learned how to speak German, French and Spanish."

... you put a comma between the words "German" and "French" to show that they are individual elements. It’s a matter of preference whether you put a comma between the last two list items. The current accepted style by the Associated Press stylebook is to leave it out.

    2. Separating Adjectives

Another rule that we see causing problems is the use of commas to separate adjectives of equal rank. Many people think that if you have two adjectives next to each other in a sentence, you always separate them with a comma. This isn't always the case. You only apply this rule when both adjectives describe, or modify, the same noun. Take these sentences, for example:

      DOESN'T Modify Same Noun

      • He is a fantastic mystery writer.
      • We drove by the old-fashioned colonial house.
      • That's how you become a fast cross-country runner.

      Modifies Same Noun

      • I'm going to submit more high-quality, original articles to EzineArticles.
      • The long, arduous journey took ten days.
      • Expect to be greeted by knowledgeable, considerate residents.

Notice, there aren't any commas in the first set of sentences, but they are present in the second set. In the second set, each adjective describes the noun of the sentence separately. When deciding whether to use a comma in these situations, use the "and" trick. Substitute the word "and" where the comma would go. If that changes the sentence meaning, you don’t need the comma. If it still makes sense, you need the comma.

An alternate test is to flip the order of the two adjectives. If the meaning is still the same, you need the comma.

Also, watch comma usage when separating clauses, adding non-essential information and when you're writing out dates, geographical names and numbers greater than 1,000.

The Best Definition of Success Is the One You Never Use

    by Jeff Haden

Forget kaleidoscopes, forget people are like snowflakes, forget we're all individuals (bonus points if you got the last reference without following the link.)

There is only one real way to define success.

    Just one.

Granted success in business and in life means different things to different people, and should mean different things to different people. Whether or not you feel successful depends on how you define success -- and on the tradeoffs you are willing to not just accept but embrace as you pursue your individual definition of success.

Still. Determining whether you are successful is based on answering one question: How happy am I?

Your level of success is based solely on your answer to that question.

Are You A Writer Or A Marketer?

If you cannot or do not wish to write your articles yourself, you can search different outsourcing companies to find a freelance writer to help you grow your business and your website. These freelancers will ghost write articles for you and that means you will own all copyrights to the material that is produced to do with what you wish.

Freelance writers have a talent for writing, however, they would rather make quick money writing for others, than take the time to build a niche website that they will have to heavily market and promote to begin earning revenue. They are usually not marketers, but rather people who have a gift for writing.

On the other hand, those who are looking to make money from articles are marketers. They are looking to build websites that will give them long term revenue, rather than just one quick payment and moving on to the next one. This Internet pool of freelance writers will open up a good opportunity for you to receive the quality, original content that you are looking for to build your niche site.

However, if you have a limited budget, you may want to put on your marketing hat and write your own content and then hire professional services once you have made a profit.

Using A Free Blogging Web Site

By using a free blogging web site, you may find it easier to get listed in search engines, rather than starting your own blog from scratch.

Google runs the free blog hosting site, blogspot, and crawls its pages often looking for updates. If you have your site hosted by blogspot, you’re almost guaranteed to be listed on google's blog search engine. This easy access to search engines can take some of the work out of promoting your blog, and can help you gain a following with a minimum of marketing effort.

If your blog attracts a large readership, you may want to consider moving your site. Many people feel that being hosted by a free blogging web site gives a blog an amateurish character that may be okay for a new member of the blogosphere, but isn’t appropriate for a high-profile blog.

If you have your own domain name your blog appears more professional. Finding a company that will host your domain is not difficult or expensive. Once you are successful with your blog, you’ll probably be able to sell enough advertising space to be able to afford a domain hosting. Nevertheless, it doesn’t make sense in general to invest in these extras until you have a substantial audience.

Starting your blog on a free blogging web site is a great way to build a following before you spend any money on your blog. When your blog becomes popular and you’re ready to move forward and get your own domain, your readers will follow you. In the meantime, take advantage of a free blogging platform to get started.

Autoresponders, How They Benefit Your Business

    By:

Autoresponders benefit your business in many ways. If you have your own business then you know there is just not enough hours in a day to get it all done. You have meetings, emails to reply to, create products or deliver a service, and you have to take care of your customers and talk to suppliers. The list goes on. No matter what you do, there never seem to be enough time to get it all done.

One of the most important functions of a business is to stay connected and follow-up with your customers. Without your customers you wouldn't have a business. However, many business people focus on creating the product, delivering it, getting the money and repeat the process. They just don't take the time to build the relationship with them.

When you build a relationship with your customers they are more apt to want to work with you. This is where the profit is made. It costs money to attract customers, however not many people focus on the area of renewable sales, return customers.

One of the best ways in which you can build a continuing relationship with your customers is through email. Sure, email isnt as effective than speaking with your customer face to face but its the most efficient, affordable way to look after your customers, especially if you have many of them located all over the world.

Imagine if someone continually contacts you once a week by checking up on you, making sure you enjoyed the product, and bascially just letting you know that they are there if you need them? That would be useful wouldnt it?
They say that if you simply email your customers or send them a card on their birthday, they will be grateful and will remember that small gesture. Just that little extra goes a long way.

One of the best ways in which you can build an automatic relationship is to use an autoresponder.

An autoresponder is simply a piece of software that automatically sends out emails to people. Its a bit like an automated message when you are out of the office. If someone sends you an email, they receive an out of office message.

The Benefits Of Using An Autoresponder
Using an autoresponder has many benefits, such as:
Being able to communicate with customers using a prewritten message
Being able to send emails when you are not around
Being able to deliver information as needed
All of these things allow for easier email marketing campaigns, as they will all be automated. The biggest benefit of using an autoresponder program is that once you set it, everything else is done automatically without your input. This frees you up to focus on other areas of your business.

    How To Use An Autoresponder
Once you get the hang of it, autoresponders arent very hard to use at all. The first thing you do is write up a message you want your autoresponder to send. When you finish that you put that message into the autoresponder and tell the autoresponder when you would like it to send and to who. For example, you may tell the autoresponder to send this message to any customer that signs up to your mailing list. You may also tell them to send this message only after theyve been signed up for a week. Once you have set up the settings you require you choose to run the autoresponder and thats it, any time your settings are met your autoresponder is sent.

Autoresponders Can Be Used For A Number Of Different Things:
Using An Autoresponder To Deliver An Online Course:
You can use a autoresponder to deliver an online course. Once someone signs up to your mailing list they will be receive your lessons via email over a set amount of time. You could provide 7 day courses whereby at the end theyll know everything they need to, or you could send an email once a week for as long as you want.

Deliver Seasons Greetings To Customers With Autoresponders:
You can set up autoresponders to message people yearly whenever an occasion arrives. If you want to make customers feel like you remember them (and to let them know you are still there), you could send them a message when its their birthday. So every year your autoresponder sends your customers a personalised birthday message automatically (If you decide to do this remember to take down their birthday when collecting their subscriber information).

    Using Autoresponders To Build Relationships:
If you don't have much time on your hands but you want to keep a good relationship with your customers, you can set up your autoresponder to build a relationship with your customers. You also want them to know you are still out there. You can do this by sending your customer weekly emails. The key is to write up these emails before hand (Say three months worth of emails or a years worth), put them into the auto responder, and get on with your other work. Now whenever someone new signs up a large part of their customer relations is automatically taken care of.

    Selling With Autoresponders:
A lot of companies use autoresponders to sell to their customers. If you have a product which compliments one the customer has already bought for example, you may have a autoresponder message that shows them about this other product too. Similarly, if your product or service has a shelf life (E.G. three months), you can get your autoresponder to messages all customers who bought this product or service when three months is almost up. In the message you can remind them that what theyve got is running out and should they want to buy a new one they can come to you.

So as you can see using an autoresponder in your business can help you in many ways. Imagine trying to keep all of that straight! This all happens and you don't ever have to worry about it. You can focus more on the other aspects of your business.

Five Tips For Avoiding Home Business Scams

    Copyright © Rahimah Sultan

Many websites claim to offer home business opportunties. Some people do make money at home through online jobs, but many of these so-called opportunities are scams. How do you know the difference? Here are five tips for avoiding home business scams.

Use common sense If you’re looking because you're short on funds, it can be easy to talk yourself into believing the promises you read online. Try to look at the offers objectively. Many scams try to convince you that you’ll become wealthy with little effort, and you might even see on the website that there is some "secret" for making money that is just now being revealed. Then later the cost of the secret is revealed. Before buying this kind of information, take a moment to wonder why it's being sold. If it's really that effective, the person selling it should be wealthy and not need to sell anything.

Don't get involved in a pyramid scheme These are programs that pay you to recruit but there is no product to sell. You make money by getting other people to join the system. This only works for those who start the pyramid scheme, and is illegal in several states. This is not the same as a home party or similar settings where you get a percentage of what you sell in addition to a percentage from those you recruit.

Don't pay to stuff envelopes or make products In fact, don't pay to work for anybody.

Getting paid to do Surveys While some companies may pay you the majority do not. They offer an entry into a sweepstakes where "you could win" but in my experience the sweepstakes even has a catch as well where if you do win they want you to pay a registration fee of let's say $600. Then you’ll get the "All inclusive trip for 2 to the Bahamas." Don't buy into it. There are way better things to do with your time.

And lastly, anything with the word "Blaster" in it is a SCAM, unless you want your email filling up with spam don't do it.

Avoiding home business scams means avoiding anything that offers easy wealth. It also means avoiding paying to work for somebody. Don't expect anything online that makes no sense in the real world. Don't get scammed.

Strategic Internet Marketing - Tips For Planning An Advertising Campaign?

    by Paul Anstis

Strategic Internet Marketing, like standard strategic planning, is about the direction you plan to head in. It is a combination of where you want to go (goal) and how you want to get there.

With marketing your goal is the sale of a product at a reasonable profit, but there are several directions you can follow to achieve it, to come up with a good strategic internet marketing plan there are three basic questions you should ask yourself -

    1) What am I marketing
    2) Who are the customers
    3) How am I going to market it

I will go through each of these in turn to elaborate

    1) What Am I Marketing

In this article I am going to assume you will be marketing a product or service that already exists and that you had no part in creating.
You need to look at all the relevant details of the product , including its features and more importantly, what benefits can it provide the customer . It is also important to get an insight into what makes the product unique, how is it different from its competitors.

    2) Who Are My Customers

Determine not only who would use the product but also who would purchase it. Depending on your budget you can use market research with thigs like surveys to gather statistics or you can simply do research online looking at related blogs, forums and chat rooms to determine who is using similar products . It is at this stage that you should begin to identify different niches to allow your marketing to be more focused.

    3) How Am I Going To Market It

Depending on your budget you will have to decide if you want to use paid marketing methods, free methods, or a mix of the two. If you are looking to use paid methods you have options such as pay-per-click using the search engines, banner advertising and email advertising to name a few. Basically paid marketing methods are anything where you have to use money to direct traffic to your website. It also includes outsourcing free marketing methods.
Free marketing methods are methods such as article and video marketing, blogging, using social networking, forums, free online classifieds etc.
I will not go into the details of all of these, suffice to say that for for looking at strategic internet marketing you should have a good idea of what method you will use and also how to measure their effectiveness.

If you do not have a good strategic internet marketing plan it is very easy to lose your way and not market effectively or efficiently.
