All of us would love to be paid over and over for work we do one time. This is possible through affiliate programs, and the key is understanding how to market effectively. Although marketing is the foundation of any good business venture, it is more than placing ads or pitching ideas. Ads must be compelling enough to get peoples attention. Once you have their attention, you have the opportunity to show the benefits of what you are offering so that they will check out your product and make a purchase.

A good marketing campaign starts with well-written Ads that compel people to spend time on your site getting information. A good Ad will give enough information to peak a person’s curiosity so that people will visit your website, but it won’t contain so much detail as to possibly turn your prospects in another direction.

Affiliate programs are usually offered through a website. The website serves as the information base for the program. People visit the site and learn about the program and the products. Once they are on your website, there should be clear information that will help them make a decision to purchase products and/or sign up as an affiliate so they can make money.

A person who can market successfully will only have to use Ads. Then everything else is handled at the website. That is the ultimate way to earn residual income. Develop good advertising, get your Ads out there and get the money flowing. You do not have to limit your advertising to the Internet. Place them in newspapers, on flyers and on business cards that you leave wherever you go. Use your imagination and come up with ideas of your own for Ad placement. Don’t forget the groups where you have memberships. Remember, your goal is to get your information out to as many people as possible. A correctly marketed affiliate program, or several programs, can help build a stable and solid residual income.
