Affordable Internet Home Business Opportunities: Tips And Ideas To Help You Get Going Affordable Internet Home Business Opportunities: Tips And Ideas To Help You Get Going by Merv Stevens

Is it really possible to find affordable internet home business opportunities and turn them into a happy pocket full of money?

Absolutely BUT you have to be willing to learn and put in some time as well as effort. It will seem challenging at first but once you’ve got your feet wet and understand the processes involved it gets much easier.

Tips and ideas about affordable internet home business opportunities

Some times the hardest part about finding affordable internet home business opportunities is that there are just SO many options. You might worry that you’re not picking the right one or are afraid of scams. There will always be trial and error to deal with regardless of the business your working.

So, just start.

Ideas to encourage brain storming:

Affiliate marketing can be a great place to start. You sell someone else’s products using websites or blogs. Amazon has a free affiliate program and a fabulous reputation; plus an enormous variety of products. There’s tons of potential in affiliate marketing.

Another easy one to start with is eBay. You choose what you’re selling and can “build” your own online store. If you have stuff to get rid of, using eBay as an online garage sale can be a lot of fun. You’ll be amazed with the possibilities.

Network marketing is another goodie. The best way to work with network marketing is through social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Google and Yahoo Groups. It is a good way to meet people and ultimately build a large MLM business of your own.

Other affordable internet home business opportunities include selling your skills to other internet marketers, writing an eBook of your own and offering it on Click Bank for other people to sell (not as scary as it sounds) and even being a virtual assistant.

You can also consider opportunities available in email marketing. Email marketing has been around for more than fifteen years. You can build an email list and as you get better at it you can automate your efforts so that you can
maximize the benefits without any extra effort than the initial set up.

Tips on making your affordable internet home business opportunities work for you

Always be yourself. You can imitate someone else’s work but not them. By being yourself, you’ll provide a unique view and better content in your business.

Set some realistic goals for your business. Be willing to grow your business online which takes time but no where near as long as starting a traditional business. So, focus your efforts and handle one thing at a time.

Learn to laugh it off and understand that even mistakes are a part of the learning process.

Enjoy what you’re doing or don’t do it.

These tips and ideas are to help you focus and think outside of the box. What can you offer? How can you help others? Let those two questions run around in your mind and you’ll soon be on your way.

Once you’ve found some affordable internet home business opportunities you can start creating multiple streams of income and THAT’S when you really start bringing in lots of money and more personal freedom.

How to Implement An Essential Internet Marketing Technique - Blog Content How to Implement An Essential Internet Marketing Technique - Blog Content by M. Duncan Moore

Building a succesful internet marketing website, as part of your home-based business, requires the creation of interesting Blog and Article content for your site. A technique called PLR can help.

Successful internet marketing starts with the challenge of building your website traffic and gaining page rank with the search engines. The quality and consistency of your efforts to add Content, such as Blogs and Articles, are the most prominent factors in the success of your website development efforts. The issue here is the amount of time it takes to develop a never ending array of good content. You can write all the original content yourself, if you have the time and creative ability, or you can outsource to Article writers. Another valuable resource is "Private Label Rights", referred to as PLR. You can use the content created by others to help your efforts.

How do you utilize the PLR resource effectively? The selective application of "Private Label Rights" can be an effective technique for developing content needed. There are any number of websites and services that offer both free and paid access to thousands of articles and reports. These can be acquired as part of researching your own article idea or revised with your own ideas and theme.

Content is King! Period! You can use our top quality private label articles and boost your adsense profits instantly. Search engines love unique, quality, fresh articles. You can increase your site ranking and traffic in no time with top quality content.

PLR articles differ from the technique of purchasing content text material from paid writers because it gives you the full rights to edit and use the work in any way you want. You could add your own name, use them for marketing purposes, share great information or repurpose them into other online opportunities. Basically: you can apply these plr rights however you see fit as long as you avoid direct copying and make them unique.

PLR articles gives you the full rights to edit and use the work in any way you want. You could add your own name, use them for marketing purposes, share great information or repurpose them into other online opportunities - basically: you can use PLR resources however you want. There is a caution here. Given the emphasis by the search engines for original content, it may be well to avoid simply re-publishing the PLR content on your website. That said, the Private label right content isn’t just a collection of low cost articles, it’s a great solution to common problems you may be facing with your online projects, business or website:

There are many direct benefits to the use of PLR. Time is money and deploying a campaign with PRL can save hours by avoiding having to write your own content. When you are ready to promote a new product or service on your website, you can streamline the development of site content promotion with PLR. The ability to post new and regular articles and Blogs to your website will attract visitors and build backlinks and promote your "brand."

In building website visitor traffic and content, there are a number of additional techniques that can make use of PLR. For example, you can revise PLR articles into Free Bonus Reports or mini-eBooks to attract visitors to Opt-in to your mailing list. They can be used to create entire E-Books or How To Guides that can be sold as a download product on your website or offered as Opt-in Bonuses. These alternative uses are very effective ways to build traffic and create quality and interesting content for your website visitors. You will be able to reduce the development time by using PLR to formulate content.

My Top Social Media Marketing Tips That Practically Guarantee Success

Used correctly social media marketing саn give уоu a platform fоr brand awareness, exposure, networking, anԁ a huge boost іn traffic & sales. The problem іѕ, moѕt people ԁоn't knоw hоw tо uѕе thе social media properties correctly...

Social media marketing gіveѕ you аn edge оver larger competitors. Studies show thаt mоst companies аre nоt уеt adopting social media, leaving a sweet gap fоr thе "little guy" tо ԁо big business іn thаt space.

Follow thеѕе 10 simple tips tо create уоur оwn strategy for Social Media Marketing success:

1. Map Out Your Social Media Strategy

What іѕ іt yоu mоѕt hope tо accomplish wіth уоur social media marketing plan? What response do уоu expect frоm уour target market? Ideas tо cоnѕіԁеr іn уоur оvеrall objective mіght include:

-Branding
-Networking
-Exposure
-Inbound Links/SEO
-Relationship/Trust Building
-Customer Relations (think @comcastcares оn Twitter)

2. Connect With Your Target Market

Get аn image оf уоur ideal customer оr website visitor clеаrlу іn yоur mind. Who аre thеу? What are theу searching fоr? What do thеу wаnt аnԁ neеd thе mоst? What ԁo уou feel thеy expect frоm yоu thrоugh social media communications?

Consider whаt thеy experience оn thеіr end іn еvеrуthing yоu dо. They аre thе person thаt уou wаnt tо attract intо уоur funnel, ѕо уоu wаnt to make a great impression - аnd аlѕо include a strong, specific call-to-action.

3. Offer Consistent, Quality Content

The content thаt уоu post tо social media properties ѕhоulԁ bе bоth consistent aѕ іn regular updates, and аlѕо consistent with yоur оvеrаll message or objective.

If уou аrе аn MLM recruiter fоr еxаmрle, provide quality resources fоr recruits. If уоu оwn аn ecommerce gardening site, offer gardening tips. Whatever уour message, уоu want tо make іt consistent асrоѕs thе web.

This helps уоu achieve уоur branding objectives, аnd аllows уоu tо create the perception thаt уоu want people tо hаvе оf уou оr уоur company. Anyone whо follоwѕ уоu online ѕhоulԁ easily bе аblе tо fill іn thе blank: (You/Your Company) іs knоwn fоr ___ .

Being consistent wіth уоur message anԁ уour branding аlѕо lends tоwarԁ уоur goal оf relevance аnԁ theming when іt соmеs tо SEO, оr Search Engine Optimization.

4. Focus оn Content, Not Marketing

Most people gеt thіѕ backwards. If уоu focus оn valuable, high-quality content thеn thаt content wіll dо thе marketing for уоu.

You ѕhоuldn't have tо digg оr bookmark yоur оwn content, but rаthеr focus оn writing suсh great content thаt yоur readers give іt аn unsolicited digg оr stumble for yоu.

Your job іѕ tо write, аnԁ provide easy access to social media services whеrе уоur readers саn share уоur content with thеіr friends & groups. When people lіkе whаt yоu havе tо saу, thеу will share іt - period. And whеn thеу share іt, thе search engines wіll tаke notice. Write top quality content & updates, and lеt thе rest happen naturally.

5. Caution! Do Not Over-Optimize

Social Media Marketing cаn hеlp yоu achieve top search engine rankings fоr specific keyword phrases. But be careful... beсausе thеrе іѕ suсh a thing аѕ оvеr-optimization.

Using thе ѕаmе anchor text еvеrywhеre thаt уоu link tо (or request a link tо) уоur site leaves a 'digital footprint', throwing uр a red flag that уоu mау bе trуіng tо manipulate the search results (or PageRank).

Avoid this bу usіng natural variations іn anchor text fоr thе links thаt point back tо yоur primary website. You nееԁ a сertаіn number оf "click hеrе" оr similar links tо give balance tо уоur optimization strategy.

6. Stop Linking To Your Home Page!

Social media іs аbоut micro-topical conversations, ѕо сonѕіdеr hоw уоu саn introduce internal offers оr pages оf yоur website intо thеѕе conversations.

This wіll kеeр уоur groups anԁ followers engaged іn the topic at hand, аnԁ provide higher vаluе tо уоur readers.

These deep links, оr links pointing tо internal pages оn your site оr blog, hеlр іt gain authority іn thе search engines аs wеll. All othеr things bеіng equal bеtwеen twо identical websites, thе onе wіth morе deep links wіll outrank thе оthеr. This аlѕo gіveѕ уоu mоrе exposure іn the search engine results, ѕіnсe уour internal pages wіll begin ranking fоr specific relevant keyword phrases.

Tip: Your home page may nоt bе thе beѕt link tо share оn уour Profile whilе networking оn social sites. Consider linking tо уоur "about mе" page іnstеаԁ fоr a mоre personable introduction tо уоu аnԁ уоur site.

7. Provide a Valuable Resource

There's a reason itѕ called Social Media, anԁ nоt Self-Promotional Media. Keep thаt іn mind whеn уou cоnѕіԁеr уоur social media marketing plan.

If аll уоu post іs ѕеlf-promotional links аnԁ requests, yоu wіll eventually bеcоmе a part of thе "noise" anԁ ultimately bе filtered оut bу уоur target market. They mау nоt unfollow оr delete уоu, but they will begin tо scan оvеr уоur posts аnԁ tweets withоut evеn realizing іt.

Avoid thіs bу bесоmіng a valuable resource іn уоur niche. Share links to domains thаt уоu ԁon't оwn. And I ԁоn't mеan уоur own Squidoo pages оr Facebook profiles - I meаn domains уоu hаvе ZERO association wіth. Provide valuе tо уоur groups bу sharing relevant links anԁ resources.

You mеan, уоu want mе to *gasp* promote mу competitors?! Yes - аnd beсоme friends wіth thеm tоo. Interlinking anԁ networking iѕ powerful!

8. Social Networking

To trulу achieve your social media marketing objectives, уоu neеd tо ԁo ѕome social networking аs wеll. Forget thе word "competitor". Other publishers оr webmasters іn уоur niche wіll bе уour beѕt friends іn thе social media landscape!

Locate еvеry competitor оn yоur level (or wіthіn reasonable range) аnԁ create аn "inner circle" оf friends оr business peers. These аrе people уоu саn interview оr bе interviewed bу, exchange links wіth, joint venture with, еtс. Stop loоkіng аt thеm аѕ competition, аnԁ start loоkіng аt hоw уоu саn leverage еасh оthеrѕ' position іn thе marketplace!

Tip: Don't аѕk for favors. And ԁоn't flaunt the favors уou ԁо. Simply follow, comment оn, link tо, оr othеrwiѕе bесome "known" tо select publishers іn yоur niche. They will notice... аnd generally begin tо reciprocate. Given a lіttle time the relationship wіll form naturally аnԁ bе incredibly beneficial оn both sides.

9. Build Rapport

Get involved іn discussions, reply tо blog comments, аѕk fоr feedback (and thеn respond to іt аnԁ act оn іt!). People want tо knоw that yоu're a real person, аnd nоt јuѕt "a company" - оr worse: a bot spitting оut links аnԁ sucking іn cash.

Don't bе afraid tо havе аn opinion оr to express your thoughts оn hot topics wіthіn уоur niche. Your unique voice іn thе market will attract уоur ideal visitors аnԁ customers.

Social media gіveѕ уou аn opportunity tо bе personable. An ecommerce site haѕ іts limits whеn іt cоmes tо establishing trust аnԁ building long-term customer relationships, ѕо uѕе social media аѕ аn opportunity tо make a real connection wіth уоur target market.

10. Link Freely - And Don't Apologize For It!

This іѕ ѕоmewhаt of a combination of tips #3 anԁ #7. One thing thаt rеаllу makes mе cringe іѕ thе 2 words "shameless plug" - promise mе уоu wont evеr uѕе thаt phrase!

The people thаt follow уou, subscribe to уоur updates, оr 'friend уou' оn social media sites... wаnt tо hear уоur latest news аnd tips. If thеу ԁоn't, thеу'll quickly unfollow уоu - whісh іѕ fine. This іѕ not a numbers game оr a vanity contest - іt іѕ a means оf syndicating аnd socializing іn a professional уеt personable wау.

There іs a right аnԁ a wrong wаy tо link tо resources аnԁ content оn social media sites. The wrong wаy іѕ tо ѕay "read mу blog post" оr "visit mу website". The rіght wау іs tо share a cool link (whether іtѕ yоurѕ, оr ѕоmethіng оf interest tо уоur readers from anothеr website) аnd to open a discussion оn thаt topic.

Have a clear objective, bе a valuable resource, anԁ uѕе social media properties іn thе wаy thеу wеre intended tо bе uѕeԁ. Anything elsе wіll gеt yоu filtered оut, unfollowed, banned оr blacklisted... аnԁ ultimately bе a complete waste оf уоur time.

Done right, fоllоwing thеѕе 10 simple tips, social media marketing can currentlу grow уоur online business faster thаn аnу оthеr means.

Internet Entrepreneurs Are Not Opportunity Seekers!

Internet entrepreneurs will pounce on viable income opportunities and that's for sure but they possess attributes far different from the typical opportunity seekers! Whereas some are merely looking around online for ways to earn an income the true entrepreneur chooses in most case to make it happen and is therefore more self motivated!

Here are 3 attributes that tend to set these 2 'business seeking' profiles apart in their quest to earn an income online!

Vision

An entrepreneur typically creates or develops their own vision based upon an interest or even a long held passion! On the other hand those looking for income opportunities are not that closely bonded to the direction they may take as long as it provides a way to earn an income for them! Where one may 'birth' an idea and therefore has a deeper attachment to it, the other is content with capitalizing on the creativity or ideas of another person! For them it is simply 'show me the money' and it goes no deeper than that!

Passion

As we 'hinted' at above true entrepreneurs are usually motivated by their interests or passions whereas opportunity seekers are simply looking to make money! Now money is a big motivator and there is no doubt about that but this type of motivation can lead people in many directions regardless of what the opportunity is built upon! Passion makes people more 'loyal' to their efforts thus making it easier to stay self motivated without changing direction based upon earning potential! Also not to be overlooked is that the quality of the service and/or product tends to be higher when there is passion involved!

Commitment

As indicated however vaguely above a person with passion is obviously more committed to what they are doing regardless of the financial rewards! On the other hand those seeking income opportunities tend to migrate, and quite oftenBusiness Management Articles, from one opportunity to the next! This does not allow for them to necessarily establish any roots or a high degree of expertise in any chosen field which doesn't serve their customers all too well!

True internet entrepreneurs tend to take a specified direction when trying to earn an income online based primarily upon a passion or vision as discussed above! What sets them apart from people merely seeking income opportunities is they are more self motivated and possess a much greater focus and commitment towards their pursuits! In the end it all comes down to a true entrepreneur 'makes things happen' while those seeking money making opportunities are for the most part following up on the ideas of others!

Getting Traffic to Your Blog - All About Blog Traffic Exchanges

By

If you’ve been into Internet Marketing for a while, you probably remember the old traffic exchange programs and the banner exchange programs. Things change fairly fast on the Internet, and now there are blogs and blog traffic exchange programs. If you have a blog, and getting traffic to your blog is important, than you need to know about blog traffic exchanges.

First, blog traffic exchange programs work much better than the old traffic exchange programs did. If getting traffic to your blog matters, getting set up with one or more of these exchange programs is vital – no matter what your niche market is. This will considerably increase your readership very quickly.

However, there are some blog traffic exchange programs that really aren’t worth joining. Participating in a blog traffic exchange program does take time. In some cases, you will be able to purchase your credits, but in order to get the traffic without paying for it you will be required to visit other member’s blogs. This typically gets you one visitor for every two blogs that you visit – and the visitors that come from blog traffic exchange programs are not targeted. This means that there is no guarantee that the visitors coming to your blog from the program have any interest in what you blog about.

If your blog is highly specialized, meaning that it is a very specific niche, you probably won’t do well with blog traffic exchange programs. However, if your blog is of general interest, meaning that it isn’t specific to any particular niche market, blog traffic exchange programs may work very nicely for you when it comes to getting traffic to your blog.

Blogazoo at [http://www.blogazoo.com] is one blog traffic exchange program. However, there are many steps you must take before you can register your blog. For instance, you must visit ten other blogs before your blog will be listed. You must register to use the program. However, there are many features at Blogazoo that will be useful to you if getting traffic to your blog is what it is all about for you.

BlogClicker at http://www.blogclicker.com is also worth consideration. You visit other member’s blogs to earn credits. For every two visits to other blogs, you will receive one. You can also purchase credits instead of visiting the other blogs. Two other blog traffic exchange programs are Blog Crowd at [http://www.blogcrowd.com] and Blog Exchange at http://www.blogexchange.com.

The best blog traffic exchange program available today is Blog Explosion at http://www.blogexplosion.com. Like other blog traffic exchange programs, Blog Explosion is free to join, and only one account is allowed per person. However, you can add multiple blogs to your account. You can refer new members and earn 10% of the traffic that they earn. Blog Explosion has full statistical reports that you can view, and many member features and tools.

At Blog Explosion there are monthly contests with free visitors as prizes, there is a monthly traffic lottery, and the Battle of the Blogs. You can also win daily mystery credits. There is a member’s profile directory where members can find blogs of interest, chat rooms, a Podcast directory, and a knowledge directory. You can even rent your blog space to other members. This is why almost 30,000 bloggers choose Blog Explosion over the other blog traffic exchange programs. Remember if you are trying to build up a readership for a niche blog, blog traffic exchange programs may not work well for you.

Getting Into the Blogging World
  • By Javier Garcia
  • From some years back weblogs (or simply "blogs") have become one of the most popular ways of online publishing and communication. While still most of them have no commercial purpose, blogs as a makerting tool (or even as a business by itself) are increasing its presence on the Internet.

    WHAT ARE BLOGS?

Though there are different approaches to weblogs, they can be defined as web sites where users post entries (news, articles...), updated frequently and normally reflecting the thoughts of the blog's creator. Those entries (posts) are typically listed in reverse chronological order (the most recent entry on the top).

Most blogs allow visitors to leave their own comments on the diverse entries or even references from other blogs (trackbacks). This communication between different blogs and bloggers is one of the main factors involved in the fast growth of the so-called "blogosphere" (the whole community of blogs) and its current influence.

HOW A BLOG CAN HELP YOU?

Blogs are constantly creating new business opportunities. While some time ago blogs were almost an exclusive territory for non-professional bloggers sharing their thoughts, experiences and ideas, currently small and large business have a wide presence in the blogging world. There are a number of potential benefits of adding a blog as part of your marketing strategy or as a business model:

    • Blogs spread information: Blogs allow you to publish information instantly and frequently, and the conversational nature of blogs will help you spread that published information. Not only your visitors will read it, but also other blogs will reference your content through reviews, news, comments... and will link to your site, allowing other Internet users to access that given information. In addition, your blog can capture the attention of the media, which frequently uses the blogs for source material.
    • Blogs give you feedback: Most blogs allow readers to comment on your posts or link to them (and notify your site) on their own blogs. This is an automated mechanism that provides you instant feedback on any issue. You can know what your readers think of you (or your product/service/company) almost in real time.
    • Blogs build you a reputation: Always you provide useful and honest content, a business blog can help position you as an expert in your niche. Blogs can be considered as a platform for expressing your knowledge, expertise and experience, so they are a powerful tool for building you a solid reputation.
    • Blogs are marketing tools: Blogs are a useful and low-cost marketing tool as they improve the awareness of your product/service/company and strengthen the loyalty of your customers (readers). The word-of-mouth will provide you a way into audiences that couldn't be reached efficiently in any other way.
    • Blogs are an easy content management system: The ease of use of blogs as a content management system (CMS) will allow you to forget the programming and the design of your web site and will also help you reduce costs. You can create your blog using free blog hosting services like Blogger or run free software like Wordpress on your own web hosting (preferable for business blogs). In both cases you can adapt the appearance of your blog through free professional-looking templates (themes). This makes creating and updating web sites faster, easier and cheaper then ever.
    • Blogs are search engine traffic generators: Lastly search engines have been driving their efforts to reward rich-content sites, due to the great amount of poor-content sites built with the only purpose of generating revenue with advertising. As blogs are generally based on valuable and original content, they are specially appealing to search engines. The linking structure inherent in blogs is another determinant in the equation. As other blogs reference your web site articles, they will link to them. Moreover, comments and trackbacks frequently include a link back to the blogger's site. Because incoming links are one of the most important ranking factors in major search engines, it's obvious that blogs are great platforms to generate search engine traffic.

How To Make Money With Blogs
    Maureene Reidy

Short answer? Yes, it is still very possible for anyone to make money with blogs. In fact, there are more ways than ever to do so...

The beautiful thing about blogs (or even just online marketing in general), is there is an almost endless supply of topics that you can write about.

There's just one important thing to remember, when trying to make money with blogs:

Although, yes, people may search for what you decide to write about...some topics are more profitable than others. Other topics may even be better to pass up, altogether.

For example, a fitness blog will very easily blow past a site dedicated to how to knit sweaters for your cat.

Obvious? Maybe. But some people insist on sticking only to their passion.

The best thing to do would be to make a list of topics you're interested in and then work your way down that list until you find a niche you can write about.

Here's the basic criterion for choosing a topic, when trying to make money with blogs:

    1. Your market is social. They aren't afraid to comment, interact with other members, etc.

    2. Your market is passionate. Really, this is "marketing 101"...but it's worth repeating.

    3. The topic you're writing about gets a worthwhile amount of traffic.

What you'll consider "worthwhile" really depends on the niche and your ability to market within it. In other words, your term might only get a low amount of searches per month, but if there is a high-ticket product to promote then you may still be able to do significantly well.

    4. Your market isn't afraid to spend/invest money, especially online.

The topic is one you won't mind having to create regular content for.

By taking those things into consideration, it's very likely that your original list of topics and ideas will decrease in size.

Still, it's better to do your research up front and actually be able to make money with blogs you create, as opposed to just writing your heart out and hoping to see a few bucks trickle into your bank account!

Of course, the real question is...

How Do You Actually Make Money With Blogs?

Honestly, I think it would be best to dedicate an entire post to show you specific options I've found to monetize your content. After all, I mainly wanted to write this article to address the fact that it is still possible to create an income with blogs.

But, for now, here is a basic list of ways to monetize your blog:

    1. Membership Blogs

Having your own membership blog is essentially like having your own online magazine!

You can either choose to charge for access to all the content, or ask users to create a paid subscription for access to additional parts of the site.

    2. Automated Advertising

Some marketers make money with blogs by making certain terms clickable in their content, which then directly link to a related affiliate product.

For example, clicking the link above will take you to a great site that lets marketers of all experience levels earn extra money online with blogs.

    3. Paid Advertising

Once your blog gains popularity, you can charge other companies or product owners to advertise on your site.

You've probably noticed already that a lot of people make money with blogs by using ads, such as banner ads.

Sometimes, however, these banners may have been provided by affiliate programs and only earn the blogger money when someone clicks through and buy.

On the other hand, selling advertising space is great, because you only have to worry about hosting the ad itself!

    4. Affiliate Programs

We've already touched on this one.

Basically, any of the major ways to monetize blogs (like above) can be used specifically for promoting affiliate products.

Some affiliate programs even allow you to earn 100% commission for each time you drive traffic and make a sale!

Really, there are many different ways you can make money with blogs. As I mentioned above, maybe I'll create a post specifically about the different resources that you can use.

Are You Committing These Social Media Mistakes?
    by Darren Olander

When used properly, social media can be very effective medium to help you grow your business. You will want to proceed carefully, however, and make sure that you avoid committing these social media mistakes to get the most benefit from this strategy.

Failing to Plan Your Social Media Strategy,

Simply being aware that social media exists is not the same thing as using it effectively. Before you venture into using Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites, spend some time working on them to get a feel for how they are used. It's a good idea to look at how top performers in your niche are using these strategies so that you can adopt similar tactics yourself.

When you plan your own social media strategy, you want to set out in advance how often you'll use these resources. You will also want to have a general outline of what type of information you will be providing to your readers and followers online. Having a guideline to follow will help you stay on track and use the sites appropriately as a business tool.

Lack of Focus on Your Target Market

If your goal is to use social media sites to grow your business, you want to make sure that you're appealing to your target market. Simply posting on these sites and hoping that your target market will find you is not enough. You will want to figure out where your target market is hanging out online and take steps to engage them directly.

    Not Posting Often Enough

Part of your overall social networking plan must be to post regularly. Think of these sites as a way to have a conversation with your target market. To create an effective presence on them, you will need to be talking regularly. Keep in mind that Internet users have very short attention span and you need to show up at the party regularly if you want to be remembered.

Failing to Respond to Questions or Concerns Promptly

Once you have the chance to engage with your target market or existing customers, make sure that they're not being ignored. One way to drop the ball on using social media to market your business is by failing to respond to people who get in touch with you. You want to make sure that any questions or concerns are dealt with in an appropriate and positive manner.

Keep in mind, too, that your posts on social networks can be viewed by others. You have the potential to bring in new business by the way you conduct yourself online. Your posts may be the first opportunity for potential customer to get to know your business, and you want to make sure that you are presenting it and yourself in the best possible manner.

The successful use of social media is an effective way to reach out to potential customers and grow your business. Make sure to avoid these social media mistakes, and you'll be well on your way to reaching your goals.

    My Tongue-in-Cheek Article Writing Advice
    Copyright © Rahimah Sultan

Laziest Way To Make Real Money Online. I'm Not Kidding You - See Proof Here! http://tinyurl.com/ynmrk7

I thought I'd try my hand at something different to end the year.

I awoke at about 6:42 am Christmas Eve. I had a thought… hummm.. ominous or should I say promising, especially since it was so early in the morning. My thoughts generally disappear by the time I get out of bed and hit the floor running!

Of course, the thought probably occurred because I went to bed thinking about needing to write a blog post, which kind of proves that if you ask for resolution to a problem just prior to going to sleep, your subconscious will work on it for you and most likely come up with a solution, although it might not always be so immediate.

    The thought….

What about taking a subject already posted and writing an article that’s the antithesis of it, sort of.

Thought number two was, how the heck am I going to do that!? You know one thing always leads to another.

Well, I got up, and surprisingly, the first thought stayed with me, and I began to think it was doable. My brain went off on its own tangent.

So, here goes my experiment. It’s now Christmas evening, and my subconscious has been mulling over thought number one all day, I’m sure. You know the subconscious never takes a break.

A short while back, I posted an article to my blog titled “3 Ways to Refresh Old Topics.” It was authored by someone else.

The author references a particular axiom. I’ve used my own version of it, all my adult life, when I’ve been asked “What’s new?” I’ve always replied, “Nothing. We just haven’t discovered it all yet.”

    So, on with point one.

Author: “Update Your Topic for the Current Season or Year”

Me: Backdate your topic for a past season or year? I and the Baby Boomers might be able to relate. I and numerous others pre-date the Boomers. :-)

Author: “Women's magazines have been doing this for years. The types of stories tend to be along a few themes which have proved popular with readers…

…articles around a broader theme, such as the Holiday Season. The stories may focus on decorating techniques, preparing special meals, shopping, budgeting… some way to hook the reader's interest by making it relevant to something which reflects a question or a concern they are currently dealing with.”

Me: Update to my “backdate” – Avoid large shopping malls and stores like the plague, especially on Black Friday!

Author: “Use a News Story to Capture Your Reader's Interest”

“… use current events as a lead in to whatever you would like to share with your reader… makes your niche content timely and interesting… can be a great source of statistics and other information… to refresh your old topics.”

“… sharing the results of an annual survey… discussing which person or company won an award…. a great lead-in to a topic… immediately provides your audience with something new to consider and you can follow up the first paragraph or two with some further information to flesh out the topic some more.”

Me: News flash. At present, my news story and current event is getting this blog post finished. I have no statistics to back up my tardiness—procrastination? Now, there are statistics for that, I suppose, although I can’t put my finger on any at the moment.

    Author: “Find a New Angle”

“When you are updating your content or website, resist the urge to reinvent the wheel…. You already have a bare bones topic… what if you considered your topic from the point of view of different age groups, men v. women… people living in different part of the country…”?

“Get Google Alert updates… get email updates and RSS feeds…. They will give you some different ideas about how you can share information about your niche topic… other people's content on the same topic can open up new avenues to explore with your own marketing.”

    Me:I’ve found a new angle—an antithesis experiment.

In summary, I think it’s good to try something different in order to keep the creative juices flowing. Speaking of juices—I have had nothing to drink today other than water and coffee. So this article comes from the mind of the all present me.

Do comment on this article if you’re so inclined.

5 Steps to Get Targeted Traffic To Any Website 5 Steps to Get Targeted Traffic To Any Website
    by Frank Breinling

Getting traffic to your website is the basic goal for anybody who owns a website. However, there is a difference between targeted and untargeted traffic that is vital if you want to make any money from your website. Targeted traffic is the ultimate end game of website owners, and what you need to do to get this traffic can be summed up in five easy steps.

    1. Do your research. You really need to make sure you plan your approach so that everything can go as smoothly as possible. Make sure you find out as much as possible about the niche your website is in, and take a look at the websites that are doing well in this niche. It may help you to note down what some of the popular keywords around the topic are, as this will come in handy a little bit later in the process.

    2. Write quality content on your website’s niche. Articles are very effective at adding interest to your website, and they also show up quite a lot in search engines, so you have the opportunity to become a really popular website. As an added bonus, as long as the articles are related to your website, your traffic is going to get more and more targeted.

    3. Search engine optimize your entire website. Search engine optimization, or SEO for short, is the easiest and cheapest way of driving targeted traffic to your site. Those popular keywords you may have noted down will now become useful. Insert these keywords into your content, and search engines will start to consider you as a more reliable source and will list you higher up. This allows more people to find your website and boosts up your incoming traffic, whilst at the same time making it more targeted.

    4. Build up outgoing links. What this means is to put in relevant links to outside websites in your content. The more of these links you put in, the more trustworthy search engines are going to consider you, and the higher they’re going to index you. Make sure those links are trustworthy themselves though, because if they are links to dodgy websites, you are going to lose points in the eyes of search engines.

    5. Build up incoming links. This is more difficult to do than building outgoing links, but it can still be done. The best way to do so is to participate in forums and other such things, and post a link to your website where you can. You could also build relationships with other websites, and maybe even create partnerships, so that you can help each other out with link building.

And at this point, you should have a steady stream of targeted traffic going through your website. Hopefully, now, your website can be making you a good amount of money. There are a lot of other things you can do to build targeted traffic, but these simple steps can get your website out there, popularized, and making money.

"I Can't Do It" "I Can't Do It" by Margaret Paul, Ph. D.

"He can who thinks he can, and he can't who thinks he can't. This is an indisputable law." - Henry Ford

Have you ever noticed how often you say, "I can't"?

    "I can't lose weight."
"I can't find my soul mate."
    "I can't find a job I love."
"I can't take care of myself."
    "I can't heal this shame."
"I can't get myself to exercise."
    "I can't find my passion."

When I was little, one of my favorite books was "The Little Engine that Could." For those of you who don't know this children's book, it's about a little train engine who was given the job of pulling a very big load up a hill. As it was pulling the load, it kept saying, "I think I can. I think I can. I think I can." And, of course, it did.

As a three-year old, this little book impressed me very much. I memorized it and read it over and over. I integrated "I think I can," into my thought process, and every time I was challenged, I would say "I think I can," to myself. Like the little engine who could, I never gave up on something that really mattered to me. Fortunately, "I can't" didn't become a part of my language.

With many of my clients, it's a different story. "I can't" seems to be deeply entrenched into their language. In the work I do, I help people learn how to heal their shame, how to take emotional responsibility by learning to be loving to themselves and others, and how to connect with a personal source of spiritual Guidance. Very often, my clients say things like, "I can't take care of myself. I don’t know how." "I can't connect with my spiritual Guidance. I'm not capable of this." "I can't remember to be present with my feelings." "I can't speak up for myself - it's too hard." And, as Henry Ford states in the above quote, as long as they choose to believe this, they can't. They prove themselves right every time.

I wonder if you would be willing to try an experiment. What might happen if, every time you hear yourself say "I can't" you consciously turn it around and say, "I can!" If you did this often enough, you would change your way of thinking, and in changing your thinking, you can change the outcome of your efforts.

Fortunately, another thing I learned very early in my life is that it's okay to fail. To me failure only means that I need to try harder and learn more. Failure never means that I am stupid or incapable. While I've had plenty of failure in my life, it never stopped me from saying "I think I can," which is what enables me to keep going until I succeed.

From 1998 until 2010, I worked on creating a major software program, called SelfQuest. During these 12 years I had many failures and disappointments, but never once did it occur to me that I would not succeed in creating the program of my vision. It was vitally important to me to create this program that I knew would be a huge help to others, and I knew that nothing would stop me. Even when the programmer disappeared with all the work, I knew in my soul that it would all work out. And it did. After finding an incredible new programmer, the original programmer resurfaced and gave us everything we needed to complete it.

No one succeeds without failures, and no one succeeds by saying "I can't". Try reading "The Little Engine that Could" and integrate this into your mindset!

How Can You Benefit From Mobile Marketing In Today's Online World
    by Wolf Krammell

    What is mobile marketing?

Mobile phone or cellular phone market is a multibillion dollar industry which is ever growing. With such a huge market for potential customers, mobile marketing or marketing techniques exclusive to mobile subscribers have gained immense popularity in the recent past.

Mobile marketing involves communicating with potential customers over mobile phones via text messages or sending a marketing message which allows the customers to be part an advertising campaign.

    What are mobile websites?

Most modern day mobile phones or 'smartphones 'as they are called are capable of doing just as much as what a laptop or a portable computer can do. These devices come with advanced connectivity features that enable them to connect to a network (wireless Internet). Because of the increase in use of mobile Internet users, many websites that are specific to mobiles have been developed and most of them are marketing websites designed to provide marketing information to potential customers on the go.

Mobile marketers usually send links to mobile subscribers via a text message and this directly leads to the user visiting the mobile website. Websites specific to mobiles are smaller and contain less animation than their PC based counterparts but marketers add flair to such websites so that users are captivated and driven to purchase the product or service being marketed.

What are the advantages of mobile marketing and mobile websites?

The biggest advantage of mobile marketing and mobile websites for advertising is that they provide instant connectivity with users at all times. Most countries have mobile to population ratio well over 100% meaning that any marketing message sent to a mobile subscriber is more likely to be converted to sales than traditional modes of advertising such as email marketing.

Mobile marketing would also be cost effective as compared to making one-on-one calls and frequency of such advertising can be varied as per changes in trends. Mobile websites and marketing information can be quickly updated and requires minimal manpower for effectively implementing changes which results in potential customers getting more updated information. Creating an interactive mobile website is much more cost effective than a traditional website and this can help in better utilization of time and energy of support personnel.

Mobile marketing techniques including mobile websites are more likely to get better responses as texts as well as links are viewed at least once when the receiver is free and if found interesting potential customers might also share this information with a circle of friends or like-minded people resulting in better views and sales.

This kind of revenue for the manufacturer or service provider would be completely free of cost.Better brand appreciation, targeting geography-specific audience and generating loyalty among existing customers are all additional benefits of mobile marketing using mobile websites.

3 Free Website Marketing Ideas - Easy And Quick

    Copyright © Rahimah Sultan

Marketing on line is not cheap. You can spend an extreme amount of money on Pay Per Click (Google Adwords) and thousands of site-targetted dollars (AdBrite), and you can spend thousands just buying text links from individual sites. I know. I've spent so much money on advertising.

But, free is my favorite form of marketing. I like anything free, especially if it helps my websites make more money without increasing my advertising costs.

Here are three quick and easy ways to market your site at no extra cost.

    1. Free Business Cards

Free business cards are a staple. The best part is they are free! You can leave them everywhere and give them to anyone. When I get them in the mail, I start using them wherever possible. And, that is everywhere. Be imaginative!

    2. Link Exchanges

Link exchanges are a great way of spreading Page Rank, and also of sharing visitors. If people like a site they will bookmark it. After they read what they want, they will go to the site that you link to. So, you get the visitors, and share them through a link exchange.

    3. Business Card Networking

When you get your business cards, use them to network with other people. Every time you meet someone, hand them one of your free business cards. Then ask for one of theirs in exchange. If they don't have one, be sure you mention what you do, and let them know your website address.

Free business cards make a great networking tool if you put them to use. Do not forget, they are free, and should not be used sparingly. Use them in any situation you can think of. People will take them home and visit your site when they pull them out.

Use these three free website marketing ideas to get visitors to your website, and you will not only be more successful, but you will spend less of your hard earned money on marketing!

The Best Place To Submit Articles

    Greg Secrist

In this day and age, many internet marketers are finding it harder and harder to find place to be able to submit their original content. While there are still many article directories that accept original content from registered users, the key is knowing where to find them. In order ot make this easier, let's go over the top three article directories to use if you are serious about getting more traffic to your site. Submitting to article directories to get back links is an essential part of getting internet traffic. Since the latest Google Panda update this last spring, article directories that accept non-original content were severely penalized. This penalizing also discounted the value that the links from these directories passed on. Here is a small list of a few directories that continue to thrive, as well as accept 100% original content.

    1. Articlegather.com - PR 2 - This site is growing fast as it is run by a team that truly care about giving their authors SEO value. It is free to register, and they have a really fast turn time comparatively speaking when compared to the week it can take over at ezinearticles.com

    2. Articlesbase.com - PR 6 - Great site for submitting articles, and it is FREE to register as well. They are very fast when it comes to getting your content approved and if it doesn't get approved, they will tell you what you need to do to fix it.

    3. Thefreelibrary.com - PR 7 - This is a one time opportunity as you must get the article right the first time. They do not allow for article revisions, so make sure to take your time.

Each of these directories have a few simple things in common. Each only accept original content and actually monitor what gets put on the directory. This helps Google, as well as other search engines to trust the content, thus giving the directories a high PR rating as well as giving your back links alot more authority. Now you don't have to be frustrated by wondering where to submit content. By submitting to these directories, you will be able to drive traffic to your sites.

Consider these suggestions for keeping a topic you have dealt with in the past relevant in the present.

If the basic premise for your niche hasn't changed, find some way to update it to make it more current. Women's magazines have been doing this for years. The types of stories tend to be along a few themes which have proved popular with readers.

For example, the magazine may run articles around a broader theme, such as the Holiday Season. The stories may focus on decorating techniques, preparing special meals, shopping, budgeting, etc. Each year's stories have an element which is meant to make them timely for that particular year. When you are looking to update your own website content or blog articles, find some way to hook the reader's interest by making it relevant to something which reflects a question or a concern they are currently dealing with.

Use a News Story to Capture Your Reader's Interest

One way to update your content is to use current events as a lead in to whatever you would like to share with your reader. This strategy immediately makes your niche content timely and interesting, but news stories can be a great source of statistics and other pertinent information which you can use to refresh your old topics.

Sharing the results of an annual survey or discussing which person or company won an award is a great lead-in to a topic. It immediately provides your audience with something new to consider and you can follow up the first paragraph or two with some further information to flesh out the topic some more.

    Find a New Angle

When you are updating your content or website, resist the urge to reinvent the wheel. If your niche topic is truly an evergreen one, use this fact to your advantage. You already have a bare bones topic to work with, but what if you considered your topic from the point of view of different age groups, men v. women, or how people living in different part of the country could relate to it?

Get Google Alert updates on specific terms that deal with your niche topic. You can get email updates and RSS feeds that have relevant results. They will give you some different ideas about how you can share information about your niche topic with your audience. Viewing other people's content on the same topic can open up new avenues to explore with your own marketing.

The Importance of Privacy on Facebook (or any other Online Network)

    Author: Maria Elena Duron

Social networking sites have definitely changed the way people connect with each other, both online and off. Though some still believe that the best connections you create are those in the physical world, others have embraced Facebook, Twitter, along with other social sites, as a way to build relationships and communicate with people.

Today, instead of calling up all your friends to invite them to a party, you can now simply invite them all on Facebook with just one fell swoop. If you want to impart some exciting news, you can simply tweet about it and you can have hundreds of your friends responding to it in an instant.

Social networking sites have even changed the way businesses work. More and more companies are using their Facebook page to promote their brand and serve as part of their customer support department, and many are using Twitter to keep their clients updated about the latest news, deals, and offerings they have.

But there is one thing you should be careful of when it comes to social networking – your privacy. Though you may not really care what you reveal about yourself since you consider it a form of self-expression, this may just come back and bite you on the back in the future. And do you really want most of your personal information revealed to the world, such as your civil status, your sexual preference, and even your birth date?

Most social networking sites offer different privacy settings for its users. Facebook has recently made some improvements on its site, making it easier for users to choose what they want to share and which people they want to share it with. This has led to some people speculating that this is to compete with the Google+ Circles feature, which most users have been raving about.

Actually, Facebook has had these settings even in the past, but they just recently made it easier for people to use and understand. But this recent update by Facebook and the popularity of Google+ Circles has really made it evident that privacy is very important to many people, even in the online world.

People want to control what they reveal to the public and what they reveal only to their friends. Honestly, do you really want that picture of you looking sloshed to be seen by your boss? Or what about that update that you just skipped work to play hooky? But even more than these things, most people like knowing that they can control who exactly sees their information, updates, posts, links, pictures, videos, and so on. Doesn't the idea of someone randomly stalking your page to see your pictures and updates sound incredibly creepy?

This is why it's very important that you review all the privacy settings of all your social media accounts. With Facebook recently updating its platform, you need to make sure that the settings you have in place are still what you want them to be – you can't really be too sure that this recent update hasn't messed up the current settings you have.

Here's a rundown of what you can do on the current Facebook site: On the upper right corner of the site, there's a small arrow next to the word "Home." Click on it, and a drop down menu will appear, and there's one row that says "Privacy Settings." Make sure to review what your default is set to, to ensure that you still have the settings you want and that you're not inadvertently revealing private information.

The recent update has also made it easier for you to choose which privacy setting you want for any content you plan to put up. Each post has a dropdown menu on the side that offers you three basic privacy settings to choose from: public, friends, or custom. With custom, you can choose specific friends, as well as what degree in your network you want your update to be open to.

Honestly, the online world is so vast, that it's very important that you know how to protect yourself and the information that's revealed about you online. With stalkers, stolen identities, hackers, and others out there, there's a lot that can potentially be dangerous , so you really want to make sure that your privacy settings are set the way you want them to be.

Don't be complacent when it comes to your privacy. Make sure that only the things you want revealed about you are out there. Truly, when it comes to social media, the best thing to remember is actually not to post anything that you don't want the world to see. Because even if you make the update for your friends only, you can't really predict if your friends will share that information with other people, since you don't really control them. The only thing you really have control over is what you choose to post online, so remember to always think before you post.

Internet Marketing Guide - 4 Content Marketing Miscues
  • Internet marketing campaigns revolve around 3 things - search engine optimization, social media and content marketing.
  • These marketing efforts are referred to as pull strategies. These are the marketing efforts that are designed to "pull in" your target clients, instead of pushing them to make favorable buying decisions.
  • The oft-repeated adage in Internet marketing - content is king - remains as relevant as ever. After all these emerging developments and shifts, the content of your Webpage remains to be the lynchpin of Internet marketing. Search engines scour the pages of your Website to assess if such pages measure up to the search query. On the other hand, your target readers will follow the content of your blogs, whitepapers, articles, etc. in order to get a clear picture of the product or services that you are offering.
  • This means that you need to generate quality content to build your reputation online. You have to exert extra effort to show that you are a trusted and reliable source of information. Thus, if you want to hit the jackpot in your Internet marketing campaign, you have to work on your content.
  • There are 4 common pitfalls that you must avoid in your Internet marketing campaign. These are the following:
  • Inadequate Fresh Content
  • Fresh content is the lifeblood of content marketing. This may appear to be a perfect case of redundancy. How would you perceive a blog site where the latest post is already a few weeks old? Blogs that are generally stagnant are considered by readers as fairly useless and won't waste their time reading through the content. You are losing out on the opportunity to rank well at Google since each of the posts in your blog can target various keywords and these can help improve your online presence.
  • Connecting with the Wrong Audience
  • Follow the basic rule in marketing - profile your potential clients. You must monitor who are reading your blog posts regularly. Carefully assess if you are missing out on some earning opportunities from other segments of the market. Determine what your priorities are. Do you want to build your reputation as an expert in a particular field or niche? Or do you want to share information with your target clients? You must also get a good grip of the online behavior of your target readers and find out what they are looking for when they browse the Web.
  • Coming Off as a Hard Sell
  • You will surely mess up your Internet marketing campaign if you treat your content marketing as your medium in selling your product or service. You have to remember that your primary objective is not to sell but to market your product or service. You are into content marketing to "help" your potential clients. Your readers will surely not appreciate it if you sound a bit too "promotional" when you provide content for your blog.
  • Producing Content without Promotional Value
  • On the opposite end of the spectrum, you should find ways to promote your product or service without going overboard and appear to be a hard sell. Learn of the "stealth" techniques so that you can get the desired response from your readers. When you produce a great article or white paper, you can get positive response from your target audience. This puts you closer to your main objective of developing a potential business through higher CTRs. Make yourself visible on the Web. Get those posts on your social profiles, company newsletters and social bookmarking sites. Of course , don't forget to put share buttons on your blogs so that your target audience can republish or link to them.

Learn to Turn both Negative and Positive Events into Success
  • Author: Andrew Horton
  • It is not possible or even desirable to live a one sided life, where everything just goes smoothly, without any challenge. The early Chinese cultures recognised that it was impossible to experience anything from only one perspective, many thousands of years ago and introduced the concept of Yin and Yang to help people understand and utilise this concept to their advantage. If we lived only one sided, positive lives as depicted in a popular movie a few years ago, there would be little incentive to expand and grow. It is very often the very challenges that cross our paths that highlight new possibility or force us to stretch ourselves onto new planes of development and growth.

After accepting this universal law and understanding that most of the stress we face in our lives, is a direct result of our unrealistic expectation that everything should just go smoothly and that nothing should cross our path to challenge or stretch us. We have discovered a tool that will allow us to live a life that is filled with far less stress and we are able to explore any challenges far sooner, discover the opportunity they hold or unlock the learning they bring. I have asked many people that have attended one of my presentations, whether they are better or worse off after facing any challenge. After sufficient time has passed and they have learnt all they can learn from the process of overcoming any challenge, they have become more and in every case they have attracted more into their lives. Everyone I have asked this question, has unanimously stated that challenges were always one of the best things that happened to them.

So what are you waiting for, expect challenges, plan for them and search and discover the opportunities that each challenge holds, as quickly as possible. You always get to choose how you respond to any challenge that crosses your path, so the sooner you choose to learn from any challenge and to discover how to turn them into an opportunity for you to become more, as a result of the challenge, the faster you will attract the success you desire and deserve.

After accepting this universal law and embracing all the benefits that this new understanding will bring, it is time to add one additional tool into the mix. Find a way to bring a little more Yin or a softer approach into your life. Stop expecting to be able to outsmart, outwit and outdo everyone around you. Accept that we are all part of the same whole and the more we learn to co-operate and work together the better the results we will enjoy.

Work to build great personal relationships, become an effective connector and build as many support structures around you as possible. This softer approach in which you are always looking for ways to help others get what they want, supporting as many people as possible, will see you have exactly the same reflected back to you. Take sincere interest in other people's lives and strive to connect with people on a deep level, where there is always mutual benefit to be had by all parties.

It is time to get out of your head and to begin to trust your gut. As you learn to trust your intuition, you connect and support people the right people, who will support and assist you in return, you have discovered a pathway to master your life. It is time to accept that we cannot live a one-sided positive life only and that if we cultivate and demonstrate more yin energy, compassion, sensitivity, insightfulness and connection, with everyone around us, we have created a solid foundation for building the future we desire.
