No matter who you are or what you do for a living, most are looking for ways to earn extra income. Most people would not turn down extra income, whether it comes from a raise from your current job or finding a second, part-time job to bring in more money.

There are several ways to earn extra income, and depending on the amount of work you are willing to do, you can make a decent part-time wage. You can start by going through your basement and garage and finding items you no longer need or use and, if they’re still in good condition, auction them off on the Internet. Make sure you price them correctly-- high enough to pay listing fees--and ensure the listing specifies that the buyer will pay for shipping, and make the price low enough that people will buy.

You can visit second hand shops or other used merchandise sales and find items to sell through online auctions, enabling you to earn extra income without spending a fortune. You can also sign up with a company that offers drop shipping and place their items up for bid. Typically, you pick items to list and when they sell the company will handle the shipping. Your profit is the difference between what you pay for the item and what the item sells for, minus listing fees. Of course, if the item doesn’t sell you must still pay those listing fees.

You can also consider making extra income by having your own retail store inside a craft or antique mall. These outlets will rent display space and there can be over 250 to 300 spaces under one roof. Generally, you can set up your merchandise display in your space, as long as you don’t infringe on the space of adjacent sellers, set your prices and leave it until sold. There is usually a percentage charged on sales each month in addition to the rental fee.

The building management deals with all advertising, in general, to get customers in the door and it is up to each individual vendor to display the products in an attractive way and at a competitive price in order to make sales. While there is some work involved, finding merchandise to sell, setting it up and keeping it maintained, it can be an easy way to make extra money.

If you search the Internet for ways to earn extra income, you need to be extremely careful in choosing programs that may require payment up front. After all, you are looking for a way to earn money, not to spend more.
